Also, one thing about being in an appartment next to a jail is that it's reletivly safe. If someone breaks out I don't believe they'll be sticking around and checking real estate trends in the area. An extra lock on the door helps with piece of mind, and always keeping the car doors locked while IN the car and never keeping anything in the car of value while you are OUT of the car is always good ideas no matter where you live. Good luck finding a home.

It's not so much that I mind living near the jail as I mind living near people who don't mind living near the jail. ;)

I also don't want to live within earshot of the very busy interstate, which these very cheapest apartments also are; but given the choice, I'd rather live in the apartments on the highway by the haunted house.

Finally, what I really don't want is a tiny vinyl bathtub. I really want a solid, big bathtub. Because I have to feel safe in the bathtub. I could forgive a lot for the right bathtub.
