The deer is back. She just walked through the back yard, calmly eating my mother's liriope (sp?). I'm taking it as a sign.
Why can't I get the deer to eat MY liriope? That stuff's hard to kill--I've been trying for five years! But no, they want to eat the rose bushes!
In answer to your question, apparently nothing: Liriope spicata, also called 'lilyturf' or 'border grass,' is a deer-resistant ornamental grass. Now I'm just laughing. What was that deer DOING, then? I mean, that's not all she ate, but I definitely watched her munching monkey grass; it reminded me of a kid eating spaghetti.
